Hi I have a 10 month old black lab, that I need to Kennel. I have visited a few over the last week in Fife already and was not impressed. Ideally a boarding kennel that the owners had Labs or breed them would be great as there does seem to be breed favourtism with these places. I will travel further a field if need be. I want the best I can find for my baby. Please help I am searching again this week. K

Hi Guest,
If you're willing to travel, there is a very good kennel just outside of Dundee called Balshando Kennels (it will be in the yellow pages). Our two boys (not labs though, but a gundog breed!) stayed there for a fortnight last year and we were very impressed indeed both with the care given to us when we visited to inspect etc and how well looked after the boys were - they came back looking as fit as fiddles and were lovely and clean. We're not going away this year, but I will definitely use them again next time we go on hols.
Hope this helps :)

I had the same problem! Some of the kennels recommended to me were absolutely appauling! They certainly were far from luxurious as described!More like holding pens for cattle!Anyway I found a lovely kennel called Broomhill Kennels(www.kennelsscotland.co.uk) who I am going to trust with my dogs. They have separate areas to accomodate your dogs disposition, extremely clean and generaly seems to care for the dogs in her care.
