Dear all,

I have a 2 years old long coat boy chihuahua and im trying to find out where can i start looking for a bitch for him, as it is time.
I have never done anything like that before, as this is my first own dog, so your help will be very much appriciated, as i really have no idea;-(

Thank you ever so much in advance!

Hi! I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'it is time'. There's absolutely no physical or mental need for a dog to be used at stud at all - in fact, it can make them a nightmare to live with!

Have a read of the first post on the 'Breeding' forum of this site ("Should I use my pet dog at stud?")

Basically, bitch owners need to see your dog before they ask if they can use him. The 'shop window' for stud dogs is the show ring. If he does well in shows you'll have plenty of enquiries.
