Please..... does anyone have any ideas for a First Communion Gift from my nephew.  I'm not Catholic, so not sure what to expect, and want to avoid bible / prayerbook.  Any ideas gratefully received.

I don't think there is that much religon wise you can buy apart from rosary beads, cross/chain, bible/prayer book, photo frame/album.
I have all my girls gifts/items that were bought for them as keepsakes.
Are they going for a meal afterwards? or breakfast before hand? perhaps contribute towards the cost of that?

Sorry we are catholic :) but i can't think of anything else!

I am not a catholic well more precisely I was born one but my mother never kept the faith!  What about one of those photo frames with a space for the date etc so you can have it engraved with a photo of the day? 

Thanks for the suggestions - as I've already given him a of bible stories, a photo frame or album would be good.
