Hello,
I would like some information on breeding my daschunds. The exact time when breeding should take place. How many in a litter to expect. These puppies will not be for sale. They are to be presents to my 5 sisters who have fell in love with my three.
Any information concerning these matters will be so helpfull. My female, Stella, is due to come into to heat again in about a month.
Thank you,
Cindymc85@aol
I can't help you there i haven't got a clue about daschunds, although i'm sure someone on here will be able to help you.
Warm regards Susan

If you read all the other posts in the breeding section you will begin to understand some of the issues that need to be covered before considering this.
You will have left it too late for this season now as these things take time to plan.
What advice has your breed club offered so far?
PS You will need to register with us to discuss this further, please do so as you will find it helpful.
If you haven't had a look at this site then please do - lots of really good dachshund advice and lots of links to the breeder clubs. What type of dachshunds do you have

I am sure you will get some useful contacts from it and you can decide which breed clubs would be best for you to contact if you haven't spoken to them yet. I don't breed but can tell you it is extremely hard work, both the preparatory side and the actual mating and rearing any puppies you are lucky enough to have. If you read through the post you will see it can be very stressful and occasionally heartbreaking. But providing you have done your homework and are aware of all of the above then I am sure you will get great satsifaction and pleasure from a little. Do let us know how you get on.
