Firstly a stud owner doesn't look for a bitch ...the bitch owner seeks out the most suitable mate for his bitch.
Secondly read the first post on the breeding board.
Thirdly I think you'll find your post removed as it is against TOS

Read the first post on the breeding section.

You aren't the one who should be looking for a bitch. Its the bitches owner who will look for a dog. The best place to
be seen is in the show ring as if your dog does well he will attract the attention of other exhibitors wishing to mate their bitch.  But being KC reg isn't the only thing that is required for a stud dog, find out what health checks is needed for Akita's, he will ahve to pass these with good results and he will need to be as close to the breed standard as possible, this is where by showing him he can be assessed on his conformation and read up about mating and breeding as its not as simple as putting two dogs together and letting them get on with it, do you know what actually happens when dogs mate, would you be able to stay calm and know what to do if things go wrong, its not just the bitches owner who needs to know what they are doing.

Make sure that your boy has not got any endorsements on his pedigree.

If you do decide to start showing I wish you all the best :)
