Tomorrow, as some people already know, I am entering my first dog display with my oldest dog, Byron. He is a five year old Siberian Husky and the first husky to be on the team. It's a wild west theme at a local primary school fete. Not the most glam of places but it's a start. I'm gonna be dressed up as a cowgirl and he's gonna be dressed up as a cowboy as well as all the other dogs. Also, Byron and an Alaskan Malamute are going to be pulling a stagecoach as part of our display...as long as the weather isn't too hot. It should be a good day out.

Anyway, the reason I'm writing this post is to see if anyone else is part of a dog display team. I just can't believe how fun it is!!! I would recommend it to anyone but sometimes the places to be part of the team are highly competitive!

Good luck with the show. I am part of a dog display team too its so much fun, were doing a display tommorrow as well but no dressing up :( instead we have a outfit comprising of black trousers and a white t-shirt with our club logo. We only do it for fun, nothing competive hence 3 displays this year mainly local carnivals :) but everyone enjoys it and thats the main thing.

We have only three displays this year too. Well, as far as I know! We did the cowboy theme today which went amazing!!! It was so much fun! Next Saturday we're doing another but we're being sponsored by the local bus service and we all have to wear red t-shirts which they have supplied for us! We've got one in late August and we're thinking of doing a "Morris Dog Dancing" display. Bells on feet and silly ribbons! You get the jist!

Yup, i'm on a display team with meg my collie. We do fun demonstration that involve simple obedience, tricks and dancing. We do line dancing with them too so it means i have to dress up as a cowboy too! (Apparently there is also a morris dance and a maypole dance but as this is my first year of doing it i havent had the pleasure.) I'm chuffed to bits with meg though as she is the only dog on the team that is doing everything, and a trick all of her own!
