Topic Dog Boards / General / Price of 2nd vaccinations??
- By Blues mum Date 24.06.05 07:21 UTC
Hi all, just wondered if the price of the 2nd vaccinations varied on where u live and what breed of dog you have?? My boys got his in a couple of weeks :)
- By Dawn-R Date 24.06.05 07:25 UTC
I have always been charged the price for both at the same time. i.e. the price I paid at the time of the first vaccs, covered the second one as well. No further charge was made.

When i took my puppy for his first check up, worming and vaccination, it cost £45. But the second vaccination only cost me £4 ???!!!!!  Dont ask me why, maybe it was included with the first one as well??!!! :-)

- By Goldmali Date 24.06.05 09:48 UTC
My normal vet charges £26 for the first one and £16 for the second. The vet we go to for boosters only, charges just £15 for the entire course of two injections.

Hi Mel

I paid £40 for Dozer's second jabs but that included worming tablets and microchipping.

Hi with my last vet (we have now moved house) it was £21.?? for each, they normally charged it in one go when you went for the first, but I had a couple of puppies that I was holding for a couple of weeks so wanted to get their first ones done.
- By debsspaniel [gb] Date 25.06.05 11:33 UTC
The vets charge 50 here in the south east.
- By helent112 [gb] Date 25.06.05 13:08 UTC
Hi
My puppy I have kept is due her first jab next week. I checked the price and its £68 for the 2 if you pay for both at the time of the first. £38.50 each if you pay seperately. That seems about the norm here in Watford. Last year I was staying with my Mum in Northern Ireland for 6 weeks and both my adult Yorkies were due their boosters. I had them done there and was charged £24 for them both. Not even a consultation charge on top - at my vets its £35 for walking through the door, before anything is added on.
Take Care
Helen

Michelle - Your dogs are beautiful! ive just sent you some of blue :)
- By KeiraAlphaByron [in] Date 25.06.05 21:00 UTC
I've got two Siberian huskies. For my youngest vaccinations they were very pricey. The first set was £38 and the 2nd set was £23. Although, I don't think I'll ever change from the vets I use as they're absolutely amazing. Much more than what can be said for my previous surgery :(
- By mygirl [gb] Date 25.06.05 21:33 UTC
I pay £18.50 for second injection we live on Anglesey.

I did go to a vet that charged a consulation fee plus the injection bumping it up to £31, it pays to shop around.
- By Loganberry [gb] Date 25.06.05 21:36 UTC
my vet charges £29 for the 1st and £29 for the second so £58 in all
- By MichelleM Date 26.06.05 16:51 UTC
