Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the following.  I recently brought a puppy who was advertised as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, when my partner went to collect her he was told she 'had a bit of pit in her'.  He phoned me to query this but in my mind I confused a pit bull with an English bull terrier and told him it wasn't a problem (stupid I know, but we all get confused).  Having done some research on the net I have discovered that Pit Bulls are a banned breed.  Her mum was the cross breed and she was only 2 and looked much the same as a staff except for being slightly taller and having a longer nose.  The puppy looks just like my other staff did as puppy and when she was taken to the vet for her first injection the vet classed her as a staff and didn't query whether she was any sort of cross.  What I really want to know is would she still come under the 'of Pit Bull Type' by law and therefore be an illegal dog ???
