I found a tick on my spaniel this afternoon.  It had obviously just arrived because it was just the size of a grain of rice.  I was horrified!!!  They are absolutely disgusting little things.  Anyway, we don't walk anywhere near livestock and the only place I can think off that we got it was from a field that sheep had been kept in 2 or 3 years previously.  Is it possible for ticks to live this long in grass?  And, I thought they came from sheep.  Am I wrong? 

Or foxes ... or hedgehogs ... or deer ... or another dog ... or a person ...

That's horrible.  I honestly couldn't believe it today as we were cuddled up having an afternoon nap when I found it.  I almost had a coronary!!!  I tell you that was one way of getting me up toot sweet!!!  I did use stronghold on my dogs.  I think this one covers ticks, am I right?  I couldn't face a summer of find those horrible little beasties.  It's their little legs..........  I'm scratching even thinking about it!!!!
