Hi everyone.. This may sound a bit daft but is a blue staffie born blue or does the coat colour change slightly from black..Please excuse my ignorance as I was told this yesterday by someone looking at my 6 wk pups.. They reckon my blackish  one with blue eyes is really a blue ???? Am I having my leg pulled

i would say yes there puling your leg

The pigment in black staffies is somtimes a little pale when they are young , which can make them look a little blue.

If you let me have your email address I will try & find you a pic of a blue pup - they do look very blue (or grey)

They also have (or should have) dark brown eyes.

I would of thought your puppies eyes should be turning dark by now - does anyone else know what age they change from blue?

my staff pups are nearly 5 weeks and there eyes are all brown now it happened in the past few days

Hello Jo.. thanks for your reply. 4 pups have dark eyes the fith one  (blackish colour)  has blue/grey eyes.. I found some photos of blues on the net.. beautiful dogs arent they
