i have a 5 month old girl pug. and i want to start breeding her next year.as this is my first time im looking 4 info. like how will i be able to tell when she will except the stud., when will be the best time in her heat period to breed her ie how many days. and she is a black pug cauld i breed her with fawn and black masked pug? because i have only seen a black or fawn pug. so i dont no if i breed her with a fawn if her pups would tern out all different colors. please help if any1 knows alot about pug breeding. thank you
You need to do a lot of homework before you think of breeding, a good place to start is the Book of the Bitch. Also visit lots of shows to see good examples of the breed and maybe find a mentor, then you'll have an idea if your bitch is worth breeding from, then you can have the relevant health checks done and start researching your pedigree and that of prospective stud dogs to find a good match. Try talking to your bitches breeder for advice. I gather that pugs often need c-sections - are you prepared for this??? Also you need to wait until your bitch is two.......
