I have just noticed that my cocker spaniel (20 months old) has 'peeling pads' :( on his front paws, the pads aren't dry or cracked, there just seems to be wee bits of the pads peeling off.  He doesn't seem to have any discomfort. Does anyone know what could have caused this?  Should I be worried?  What can I do to stop it happening again?

Just wondering if you could put Bag balm on it? I believe that is what it is called, they use it for cows utters and I was told to use it on Tiva's nose because her nose is all cracked, I think its because she digs in the dirt...
