Hi,

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the hip score and how do I interpret it?  Also, what does CEA stand for?

Thank you

The hip score is the score your dogs hips have been assessed at when the x-rays have been submitted. So a dog with hips of 4:5 will have a hip score of 9. The breed mean varies. CEA = Collie Eye Anomaly.

Thank you, that was very useful.  Do I take it that the lower the score the better?

Yes - the perfect score is 0:0 (=0) and the worst 53:53 (=106).

You can go on their website and get it off there, it is quite up-to-date at the moment.  Sorry I can't remember the web address.
