can someone please answer my question i have just brought an johnson old tyme bulldog is what it was adversised as but cannot find any imformation on them all that keeps coming up is OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG can u please tell me if it is the same breed but just being called a different name i would b greatfull for any responce to help me as i want to get a book to learn more but dont want to buy the wrong breed

I thought the "johnson" type bulldogs were actually American Bulldogs :confused:

The Old Tyme bulldog is - I believe - a cross breed so I dont know if you could get a book on them, maybe the breeder could advise you.

Johnson is a strain of American Bulldog, get a book called "The Working American Bulldog by Dave Putnam" I belive you can buy it from Amazon, this should help you out a lot :)
