Hi, a quick question for those of you who use crates for training: do you feed inside or outside of the crate? Also, do you leave a bowl of water in the crate overnight? (I'm guessing yes?) Thanks in advance, Lucy.

hi lucy i fed inside the crate whilst i was getting my pup used to the crate (sleeps in his at nite in bedroom) and as for water.... yes . you can get special bowls that attach to the side of the crate so they dont get tipped over :-)

Bowls for inside are called coop cups and can be hook on or bolt on :)
Yes I leave one in if Im out during the day for a bit

Ah right, yes it was the water getting tipped over that was my concern - didn't want the poor pup getting all soggy! I'll have a hunt about to see if I can find a bowl that attaches to the crate. Many thanks! Lucy.

they sell them in pets at home in the bird section :)

I use one of those water bottles they fix on to rabbit hutches, it keeps Oscar from knocking his water over and he took to it really easily.

You can buy the coop cups here http://www.denbar-uk-ltd.co.uk/acatalog/Denbar_Coop_Cups_68.html you can either click on the 'bolt' or 'hook on'

When we first started crate training we fed in the cage, now when their dinner is being done they both run in their own cage and wait.
