When you apply to the KC for an affix, how long does it usually take for them to let you know if youve been successful or not?

If you have chosen something that they find acceptable, they let you know within a week or so. However then it has to be put on hold until it has been published in the Kennel Gazette, and people given an opportunity to object. So it could be 6-8 weeks before you can actually use it.
