Has anyone else who's daughter or son Junior Handles ever felt like murdering them!  My daughter had a really nice lady try to help her today which was really nice considering her daughter was in the same class and she did her usual I know what I am doing routine.  I must say we are at a big disadvantage as nowhere in our area does specific classes for junior handling and I am totally hopeless. 

Does anyone know if there are any in the cambridgeshire or suffolk or norfolk areas as I am getting desperate.

Sorry I can't help you but I know on numerous occasions I was nearly murderd.  Unlike your daughter though, me and my brother had it easy.  My dad teaches junior handling, but would we listen to him???? No we wouldn't!!!!  For a change he got in an ex junior handler to come a do a couple of nights a month training...guess who listend soooo much!!! :D 

But I know me and my brother were both nearly murderd on many occasions, unfortantly our junior handling is too far for you.

One of the people I know very well in dallies has tried to help her as well as like your dad I thought it might make her listen.  Her answer to that is Donna knows about how to handle dallies but not beagles!!!!!  Glad to know I am not the only parent who suffers I was very tempted to strangle her today.

Don't know whether we might be too far away from you but my daughter may be prepared to help yours. How old is she?

We are East Norfolk and she was JHA Handler of the Year 1998 and now judges JH at both Open and Championship shows, it might be useful for her to give yours a few pointers. She has handled both Dallies and Beagles in the past, as well as our own breed and breeds in all the groups.

The main thing that springs to mind from your post is the I know it all attitude will not help at all, try to explain to her that we continue to learn new and better ways of doing things for the rest of our life.

Im like this to my mum in grooming, i can only really talk to richard, its the way my mum says things i dont like and just ignore it anyhow have you thought how your telling her things, is it in a nasty way? if your just pointing out something then leaving it thats good but if you keep on about it all day she may well have a go back as shes sick of hearing it.
