Hi Scrapy400,
The best way to source a healthy, well bred WHWT is definitely through the breed club(s) - unfortunately I know there are a couple of VERY disreputable sources for this adorable breed in Scotland who basically farm them along with the other popular small breeds such as Yorkies and Cavaliers :( I'm sure there are some quality breeders up here too (it's not my breed) but I know from my local dog club that such breeders pups are usually booked long before a mating even takes place.
To be on the safe side you would be best to try and source a puppy through the recommendation of the Club(s) which will have a note of well reared and health tested puppies and also will be able to help steer you clear of the wrong "breeders". Remember a puppy is a commitment for 10 years plus so it's worth travelling a couple of hundred miles further or paying £100+ more to have one that won't spend it's life at the vets being treated for skin complaints, tummy problems etc.
Regards, Teri :)
