I hope that you have got a copy of the Book of the Bitch - that should be your bedside reading until she has those puppies, if it isn't already :D

Your best mentor would be your bitch's breeder - or failing that, the owner of the stud dog - if you haven't experienced a birth before, you really do need someone, preferably beside you if not on the end of a phone, as well as the tel no of your vet.

Hope all goes well

I Arranged to have someone available who was expereinced in whelping bitches, someone the bitch knows well.

Also the stud dog and bitches breeders on the end of the phone for moral support, and a blow by blow account of proceedings.

I rang the vet when she started and when she finished so he woudl know to be on standby and to stand down.

Have you started taking her temps at all? I always had my breeder on the phone with me and she was a great help.

Baby puppies can't wait to hear all about it, be prepared for no sleep lol :D
