He will need to be haemophilia tested, hip scored, and have either done well in the show ring, Working Trials, Schutzhund, Obedience before any reputable breeder will look at him.

Quite frankly the advent of the pet passport scheme has meant that high quality stud dogs with a history of good hips, working qualifications and passing the required breed surveys are available to suitable bitches and your dog would have to be exceptional to be considered for use.

Also, if you haven't a clue what to do then you cant put him up for stud, be aware that serious accidents can happen and mating a pair of dogs togther is not nearly as easy as some people think. A dog can be fatally injured, as male dogs actually have a bone in their penis which can break thorugh a mis managed mating.

A maiden dog very  rarely performs well the first couple of times  which will be very embarrassing for you!! Also the dog and bitch can be very seriously injured if the mating is not handled properly and you could well be liable in law for any injuries to the bitch through incompetence.
To be honest, bitch owners who would be happy to use a maiden, unproven ( a virgin, and you dont know that he is fertile or that he will actually acheive a mating) dog with no health tests and handled by a novice, are unlikely to be experienced in the dog mating process themselves and this is a recipe for total disaster with two inexperienced handlers and a maiden dog and possibly a maiden bitch too.

Stud dog owners should be on hand to advise the bitch owner in all matters to do with breeding, care of the bitch in whelp, the whelping, rearing, homing and showing the pups, it doesn't sound like you have this experience.
Stud dog owners also  carry just as much resonsibilty for the pups as the bitch owner does.

Why not get his health tests done and start showing him or doing obedience etc with him and see how he performs, then someone may approach you to use him.

Having recently managed two matings I can confirm that it can be very difficult and time consuming requiring infinite patience.

In the first case I had the bitch and dog here for well over a week, and in the second the dog has been staying with my bitch for nearly a month.

During this time they need supervision and to be looked after.
