this is the first litter i have bred so i am new to all this. my bitch has just given birth to three adorable pups, unfortunately the blanket she gave birth on was brightly coloured and the dye has ran over the pups and the bitch. can anyone give me advice on this as i dont want to harm them.

leave the pups for awhile you'll find the colour will fade over time, leave the mum for a couple of days just wash with flannel to see if colour will come off, if not wait a few days before bathing her, I would try little by little at first don't distress her too much she has enough on her mind with pups

Use a vetbed in future. :) Much safer and it keeps dry on top with wetness seeping through to the bottom.
