Is there anyone in the Dorset Area who has a bitch with an abundance of milk. My friend has a litter of 5 day old pups & mum does not have much milk. Although most of the pups are putting on weight there is a small one that will not latch onto a teat & will only suckle from a bottle. Trouble is we cannot express any milk from mum to put in the bottle. Was hoping that someone close by with a litter could help by supplying a bit of milk for this pup. Bit of a long shot, but you never know

why dont you ring your local vets they may know of someone whith a suitable bitch

I have successfully hand reared a litter on Welpi, can't you continue with this until a suitable bitch can be found?

Also, this is maybe not what you want to hear, but this little pup may have something wrong with it, has it been vet checked, even then sometimes things can be missed.

Thanks for the suggestions. Little pup is a fighter but is starting to deteriorate so she is going to Heather Ridley today to see if she can help. All we can do now is keep everything crossed. Mum & Siblings are all doing well.
