I am thinking of changing pet food, possibly to Burns. Does anyone else use this and if so, what do you think about it. Is it worth the money for a start and has the health of your dog improved?

My 2 labs are fed on Burns, and are doing very well on it. However they did very well on their previous food too. I wanted a food that wasn't tested on animals, and wasn't full of additives. They and I are very content. :-)
Yes I have tried this. It is a very good food but unfortunately one of my boys just absolutely hated it so they are now both on Pro Plan and are loving it. Not as good as burns but I want my dogs to enjoy their food!
i put my pup on it when he came home, he was previously on pedigree which did not agree with him or me. he loves his burns and gets quite excited at feed times, his coat looks good too. plus we havent any of the problems at the other end which we had on the other food :-)
I have 2 adults and 1 puppy on it and am very happy with the results. Neither of my adult dogs are allergic to anything that the vet could find but one has problems with his digestion and the other becomes hyperactive when fed anything with additives in it. They were previously on JWB but the first dog lost so much weight and his coat went very bitty after about 18 months on it so I think it may have changed :-( I put mine on Burns about 14 months ago and have had no problems since. I give them the active which is the VAT free working dog food as they are very active and the pup is on the mini bites :-) I order it direct from Burns and they deliver it really quickly, if I ordered it tomorrow morning it would be with me wednesday lunchtime, the longest I have had to wait is an extra day. My closest supplier is 20 miles away and the food I give them has to be ordered in as they don't keep it in stock so ordering direct is the best option for me :-)
I have two adults on Burns Fish and Brown Rice and one puppy on minibites they are all doing fantastically on it
Our Bichon is on Burns minibites and doing really well. The helpline is really good, if you are not sure on amounts, ring and say what type of dog you have.
My 7yr old lab has been on Burns for 6 years and is very fit and healthy. My 4 year old lab has been on Burns since being weaned. I have just reared my second litter onto Burns and again a healthy and fit litter. I vary the varieties from time to time and my puppy is on mini-bites. It may be more expensive than other foods but my girls are healthy and glossy coats. Also when I see what comes out the other end with some dogs it makes me glad mine are on Burns.

hiya scruffy,
i had my 20mth old lab on Burns from 12 wks right until a few months ago. She always seemed to enjoy it, but started turning her nose up a few months ago-presumably she got bored, so i've switched to Arden Grange, and she seems quite happy. Its also slightly cheaper too, but cost is irrelevant really. I have noticed that her coat is much softer now, and has more of a sheen-i don't know if its because theres more oils in AG....
i must say though that while she was on Burns, she always seemed content and she didn't leave as many presents in the garden!
what i would say about Burns is that they're very helpful and will send out samples if you ask them too. I'm quite lucky because where i buy my food stocks mountains of samples from JWB to AG to Burns, Nutro, Pro Plan etc....i always make sure i keep a few bags in the house because they're the perfect size to take out on walks!
