Anyone have a quick fix for the squits? Lennon has the runs and it is almost impossible to pick up. He's had it 24 hours. Rather avoid the vet if poss, as just spent £70 there this morning on Roxy who has potential kidney infection :(.
Lennon is fine in himself - usual boisterous puppy - no other problems that I can see.
No food at all for 24 hours, but offer water at frequent intervals. Next day give several small meals of easily digestible food (classically boiled chicken or fish with thoroughly over-boiled rice).
Slippery Elm capsules from Holland & Barrett or similar shops. For a large dog sprinkle one capsule over the food or give it in the mouth. For smaller breeds/pups you can sprinkle a quarter to half a capsule directly onto the tongue.(It's not appreciated but hard to spit out!) It's usually very good and I wouldn't be without it, but if it does not quickly dry the diarrhoea up then I would see the vet. Other than that Jeangenie's advice is exactly what to do, these capsules can just help speed things up a bit.

As JG said for 24 hours and then I'd be adding a couple of Teaspoons to a tablespoon of Bio Yoghurt to any food. As long as the dog can take milk products I've never seen it fail yet :)
As well as bio yoghurt and a bland diet, mine have a couple of arrowroot biscuits, as they are supposed to be binding. This works well on mild stomach upsets, but severe or prolonged cases need treatment by the vet followed by probiotic powder.
