Topic Other Boards / Foo / Good oilfree sun screen for head & hair

Anyone come across a good OILFREE sunscreen spray for the head and hair.

I have a couple but they make your hair greasy and I can't stand that either ;-)

I know I can wear a hat but I looks daft I think  with a hat on. Even if I took it off for going in the ring my hair would be flat to my head.

If anyone can recommend one or finds a good one please share.

Outside shows are apon us now :-)

I would love to know too - I hate having a burnt head - hurts when brushing :)

Oh I have a sore head today ;-) it was a scorcher in Scotland this weekend. I had to hide in all day yesterday and do housework ;-) to avoid the sun.

I have found one called "baby blanket" but trying to find a UK stockist still..will let you know.

Oh no, its a nightmare isn't it!  Like you say wearing a hat is annoying and seems to make me even more hot!  Would love to know if you find a stockist :)

Sounds a good product :) I got scorched yesterday at Brentwood - All About Dogs' - doing a 5 minute downstay with my 2 and another 424 dogs, at midday. By the time they had counted all the dogs (it was a world record :D ) and we had done the 5 minutes, I was rather red :D

OH Daisy.... I bet but congrats anyway bet it was worth it :-). I am a bit like a berry today :-D

I have found this which sounds good but would like the factor even higher, plus a spray would be better I think.

I always get caught out at this time of year, as I never think to take a hat or sun tan lotion with me to that sort of event. It takes me a while to get into summer mode :D

Me to, I am glad I actually had a short sleeved jacket so at least my shoulders never got it and only a bit of my chest.

I am going to dig all my sun stuf out today for the dogs etc.

I have an 'event box that has all the bits and pieces that I normally forget, sun screen, fly spray, hat, first aid kit. It just goes in the car when ever we are going to an event, then we are ready for anything!

In the process of getting a little box together, bought a foldable straw hat off ebay yesterday and the scalp cream from the link I posted yesterday arrived today.. Very quick serivce.

best make it a big box - cos you will keep finding more things to go in it. The other invaluable things are an old tea towel, sachets of sugar and salt for those really hot days when dogs get seriously over heated. Thankfully I have never had to use the salt and sugar on mine but they have been used by others and may even have saved a dogie life :)

Thanks Irene, We are now a few days out of the Puppy class so not hoping for too much on Friday I think he is still a little immature for the junior class as there are some very mature dogs in there just now . I should have had him in Novice for a couple of months just till he matures a bit but wasn't thinking when I did my entry.  He is qualified for Crufts well and truely so won't worry and if I get a decent place It will be a bonus. :-)

We were 1st in puppy dog last week at Birmingham but that was his last puppy.

That is the nightmare with puppies eh? getting out the house.  I have none planned for at least a year and longer if the ones I have turn out OK  . I like my peace too much ;-)  I know you haven't had any for a long time so keep your fingers crossed you may get something nice.
