Hi, i live in London at the moment and as both my boyfriend and myself work we have a fantastic dog walker who looks after my two schnauzers whilst we are at work.  They love her and she loves them and frankly its ideal.  However, we are looking to move out of London and down to Southend or Leigh in Essex (near the sea yay!) and this will mean that we will have to find a new dog walker.  The thing is, London is full of dog walkers, and is full of people like us, that are unable to spend all day with our dogs (much as we'd love to!) so dog walkers are easy to find.  However, Southend is a much more residential area and seems to be full of people who are able to stay at home or who are not out all day (mothers and kids getting home from school etc) and dog walkers aren't so common.  How can i find one in that area?  Anyone know?

Jo  :)

The first place to ask is at the vets' surgeries.

You will probably find that most dog walking is perhaps done on a less formal basis. We have several people in the village I live in who walk dogs and are paid for it, how ever they are more likley to be walking one extra dog at the same time as their own dog.

So go to dog walking areas and ask around, as someone else said ask at the vets in local pet shops etc.
If all else fails there are a couple of national franchises which you will find on google.
