My smooth coated collie always opens and closes his mouth like hes chewing something, but hes not, hes 7 months old so could this still have to be with losing teeth?

Hi,

I don't think you have given us much to go on here <g>. There could be many causes from something caught between the teeth to playing with you. If he keeps doing it and you are concerned then get the vet to check his mouth out

definietly check the bite. One of my shelties retained a puppy tooth too long, and the adult canine started coming in crooked. Which it can stay permenatly so if the puppy tooth isn't gone. Sometimes the vet has to pull the puppy tooth out. If your going to show you're dog it is very important to have a correct bite.
