Hope someone can help me,

I have looking for a leonberger for sometime now and came across a lady called ******** , she told me that she was the first lady to import Leo's into this country and that all her lines are the best as they are the original lines from abroad. She also told me that most of her dogs were champions etc.
but when i went round her house , i must admit , it was filthy ,and i don't just mean a bit dusty i mean really filthy, dog mess everywhere , puppies everywhere all playing in there own mess the entire time i was the ( 3 hours ), the smell of the house was somthing else and i really don't think that she knows what housework is , and it has put me off buying a puppy from her
Then i got chatting to other Leo people and they have told me that she is telling porkies and that she did not import the first leos and has never made up a champion,
Should i email the leo club and ask there advice about her or just go elsewhere?
