To all those that answered my last post.it is not me that owns a pit its a friends and i told him i have access to this site and he asked me to post a message for him and incidentally we met at puppy playgroup,so before you all start to flame you should really ask questions and give me a chance to reply and answer..yes you are quite right i do own a staffie who is 7 months old and i also have 3 kids so really do you think i would invite a dangerous illegal dog into my home...give me some credit..
the dog in question is running amok in his owners home and there for i suggested maybe members who helped me early on with my dog would offer advice, but alas you all jumped on the band wagon and was quick to accuse me of many things..
but hey he was right,,mention pitbull and the world assumes you turn into a mass murderer.........
cheers.

You're reading far more into the posts than is actually written, DCD!
:)

It's not really surprising people were replying in the way they did - YOU were the one who said 'I have a 7 month olf pitbull.......'
yes written for a friend he does have a pit..i was asking for him ...so wrote it out for him not expecting such a response.

We can only go by what we're told, and have to assume people are telling us the truth. :)
For your friend's dog's safety it's probably best that he doesn't say it's a pitbull. Better to say it's a crossbreed and possibly save its life.

The thing is, DCD, when we Champdoggers see a post from a relatively new member, we look back, to refresh our memories, on previous posts! So you must admit, if you read your first post on pitbulls, it does sound as if you are referring to your own pup! The ages coincide too (as you say, you met at Puppy training :D ) . Also, you should be aware (as should your friend) that pitbulls ARE illegal in this country - if her puppy is a "true" pitbull, she could well have him siezed under the DDA (Dangerous Dogs Act) .

your friend needs to show his pit who is boss, the majority of pitbulls in this country come from fighting backgrounds and all of them are illegal. if they are bought up in the right way they can make good pets but give them an inch and they take a mile. i would say they are best suited to people who have experience of these sort of dogs. if your friend insists on keeping his dog he needs to get the who running amok under control or he will end up with a very dangerous dog.
