I have a six month old Boxer Pup, and we would love another one. When you do really think its the best time we should get the next?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi guest,
The recommended time for getting a new dog is 18 months so your new puppy can settle in properly and you can give it the right training before adding a new addition :)

when the first one is fully trained, realistically not before 18 months at the earliest.

Yes, at least 18 months, preferably 24-30 months.

Just a few days ago my second boxer arrived :)  My first boxer is just over 2 years old now, and so far so good. I couldn't have coped if I'd done it earlier.  When he was around 6 months old, I was mulling over the idea of a new pup, as you are, but I was advised to wait a while... I'm so glad I did - the teenage phase was really hard going! Now that he's 2, he's calmer (as calm as boxers get anyway!), and has happily accepted the new addition.
