One of my boys 19months old, is so fussy with all his food, I have tried almost every commercial food on the market most of which I don't like the contents. I have been feeding him chicken wings and he loves them. I am now wanting to try to change him over completely. He is currently having the minced barf food from AMP. Can anyone give me some advice on what would be a typical weeks diet for their dogs. And what sort of meat bones veg and fruits I should be looking at feeding him. He is 19 month Dobe and really needs to gain a little weight.
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated, I have done alot of searching on the net, and it all seems very confusing and I don't want to let that put me off doing the best for my boy. He has had an allergic reaction to Royal Canin in the past and this has been the only food that he has eaten well, but obviously can't have it anymore. Since he loves his wings and the occasional breast of lamb I thought this Raw feeding would be that way to go with him. I do have a very helpful butcher nearby, but don't know what to get.

Raw feeding is not an exact science...we all do it slightly differently. There are several books you can read and lots of reading on the net but it may all get confusing since a lot of it will conflict.
I feed a mixture all meats with a percentage of about 40% raw meaty bones.I give a recreational bone every week.A raw diet does not have to be balanced daily...the idea is that you should achieve a balanced diet over a period of 2-3 weeks.
An average week for my boys would be
1/chicken carcass
2/meat mince...tripe,beef,lamb etc
3/veg/heart and offal mix(made by myself)
4/ribs
5/meat mince
6/chicken carcasses
7/heart
They also get a tin of fish a week since they don't eat fresh. They get the occasional bit of natural yogurt aswell.
I never stick to an exact eating plan...they have whatever I can get. They love trotters and rabbit but I have problems getting these.
I also keep a supply of meat and veg mix in from my meat supplier since this is a good basic mix which contains meat, chicken carcass and veg.
As for veg...I feed a mixture of above and below growing veges.Obviously no onion.I buy anything I can get cheaply and I put it through a food processor along with heart, liver and kidney and then freeze in portion size bags.
