Have just had renewal docs from more than and both preimums have gone up by £4 thats a 40% increase. Am I just being tight fisted or is this a large increse especially as we have 2 dogs. Any suggestions for lower cost lifetime covers that don't hike up the cost each year??
Thanks

The problem about insurance companies is that they're businesses out to make a profit, not charities. Every time someone makes a claim, everyone's premiums go up ...

Direct Line do brilliant cover at low premiums. I would not change from them as they also settle all claims promptly with no quibble.

You aren't alone one of my pets policies they tried to increase the premium from 23.99 per month to
42.99!! and that was the one where I'd only had one claim of £150 max in 4 years of insuring my dog with them.
I didn't renew my policy with them.
One of my insurances (Petprotect) wanted to increase my monthy premium from £32 to £150 per month plus I would have to pay 50% of each claim, this worked out far more than me paying for his diabetic medication. It was obvious that they did'nt want to insure our Sam anymore, although they were happy to take my money since the age of 3 until he was 10 years old. I then moved to Sainsbury's for £15 per month. Shop around there has to be a better deal. Good luck. Caz.
