At my puppy class last night I was told about a product that trains your dog to go to the toilet in the smae area. I have been training my, now 12 week old pup to do this anyway and 9 times out of 10 he does. But there is the odd time he forgets and in a garden as big as mine it is very hard finding it!!! The product is called Train-UM and is oil based (so shouldn't wash away with the rain) and you put a few drops on the area you would like them to go, the theory is they smell it and go there. Really don't know the scientifics behind it work but after reading up about it it does seem to be a good idea. I am posting this as I remember other people posting on here about how to train there pup/dog to go in a certain area etc. Has anyone used it? Well anyway, mine is on order and I will let you know if it works in a week or so. :-)

We tried a puppy training spray which sounds similar, they are supposed to go to the smell but it didnt work with leo, in the end we just put a bit of news paper down for a day or so that he had weed on ( not the nicest i know) and then took him to that spot, only needed it until he had used the spot and he could smell it on the ground

You will probably find that he goes in the same or similar place soon anyway. Mine always wees at the end of the garden on the right and Poos in the same place on the left.

I tried the spray stuff but it didnt work for Sox. This is not to say that it wont work for you though.

Thanks Caroline, i'll let you know. I think it may be worth a try :-) It has got some money back gaurantee so if it doesn't work, i'll asking for my money back;-)
