Just wondered what every one else weaned their puppies on. Mine start off with puppy food soaked in puppy milk and then blended with a hand mixer to make it sloppy and easy to lap. I gradually make it less sloppy as they get older and by the time they are 8 weeks they are eating it gently soaked. I feed this 3 times aday and the forth meal is a meat meal of raw lean beef mince before bed.  I also read somewhere that finely grated apple was good for digestion and just wondered if anyone else added this to a feed.

Yep just what I do.  I also introduce minced Meat and Tripe and other foodstuffs a little at a timew so if new owners are interested in other fedign methids the pups are already used to a variety of food.

I start off on finely minced raw lamb, mixed with a little warm water to a paste.  Start to add other meats, chicken wing tips, cereals at 5-6 weeks.
