Puppies bite.  It's perfectly normal behaviour, so I wouldn't worry.

I'm not a good one to advise on how much Staff puppies should be eating, as our three get their dishes left down all day, and they eat when they're hungry.  This may not work for all breeds of dog (hell, probably wouldn't work for all Staffies!) but it works well for us.

Hi There

I too have a Staffie who is 8 months now. Its perfectly normal for a puppy to bite other animals/humans. If you watch them in their litter, they bite their litter mates and their mum as this is there way of playing (remember they have no hands!)

At 11 weeks Sox was eating 4 meals a day - Breakfast, Lunch, Tea and Dinner.

Breakfast - a weetabix with 1/4 pint of milk
Lunch - 3 oz mince meat or equivalent of tinneed meat with some biscuit.
Tea - Same as luch or some scrambled egg with a little cheese.
Dinner - Same as braekfast.

Not very nice but a good idea to keep an eye on his poo. If its too loose then you are overfeeding and too hard and small and you are underfeeding. If he is well covered with a good coat and bright eyes then you are feeding well.

I always used goats milk as its easier to digest and Sox loved it! Yours will probably lose interest in one or both milk meals at around 14 weeks. This is fine and if you are worried can just increase the biscuit in his other 2 meals at Breakfast and Tea time.

They seem to learn most within 10 to 14 weeks so its important to train as much as possible in that time. I didnt take mine to training but we were very strict with him at this time and he is impeccably behaved now. He will take notice of some commands any time now if you are being clear with him about what is acceptable and what is not but Sox was 6 months old before he really seemed to understand what was required of him.

The above is only my experience in bringing mine up and from what I have gleaned from books and the internet and yours will differ slightly but take your lead from him - he will soon let you know if he is hungry, thirsty or in need of a cuddle.

Good Luck xx
