Topic Dog Boards / General / cuddles on the sofa
- By sonny [gb] Date 01.05.05 09:16 UTC
Hi,
We rescued bengi nearly 2 years ago from rescue. He had been badly mistreated and was so scared he liked to keep us in close view. We already had another dog buster who was not allowed on the sofa but was on his chair in the front window so we thought we would keep it that way, bengi had other ideas so now they are allowed on the sofa etc... we couldnt say no to cuddles.
Anyway my question is if myself or oh is on the sofa alone then bengi will come up for cuddles but hesitate and almost ask for permission but if im watching tele on sofa alone for example bengi most likely will be really settled either on the doggie chair or playing with his toys and not interested having cuddles, but if oh decides to join me on the sofa bengi is there like a shot and sits between us even before hes even sat down himself  it also works the other way round as well. But if im sitting on the sofa and my brother is sitting there as well then bengi is not bothered ( brother lives with us at the moment and has been for several months) and will only come up once he has asked for permission - well its like hes asking if thats makes sense
So any ideas of why he does this?
Thanks

Sonya
