Hi a question regarding a bitches vulva, just been to see a friends girl and she has a very hard vulva at the top feels to me like some kind of growth, she is in season bottom part of vulva looks ok, just the top part, does anyone have any infomation on this as i have never seen it befor.

Just came back from vets a couple of days ago with one of my girls, she had a hard  swollen lump on one side of her vulva and it turned out to be a bee sting so she had inflammatory injection and its fine now.I would advise your friend to get her checked by her vet as you can't take chances with lumps.

dont think it was that, this looked old as if it had been there for a long time i thought more on the lines of a growth.

Well if you suspect it may be a growth thats all the more reason your friend should get her to a vet as quick as poss.

I have told her this, i just hope she listens, just not known this befor, came straight home to check my girls vulva. thanks paxo

Your welcome. Do try to persuade her to go to the vet sooner rather than later, I know we dread going sometimes as we fear the worst. If it has been there a while then it may be harmless but she won't know unless she goes. wish her good luck from me.    paxo
