Hi, Dopram V is a 5ml dropper bottle containing Doxopram Hydrochlorate BP 20mg drops. It is a respiratory stimulant for neonates (new borns) puppies, kittens, calves and lambs and is used to initiate respiration following dystocia (difficult birth) or a C-section.
After ensuring the airway is not obstructed , drops are administered on the underside of the tongue.
hope this helps!
Carol :)

Yes two of my pups born by c-section on Monday were given the Dopram V drops, they are both fit and healthy although not too good when they were first born.

Definitely something worth having in your whelping kit!

i have ordered some, so they should be here soon, i can't understand why the vet would not give me them although they would use them themselves if needed as they did with your 2 puppies, glad your new babies are ok!!

Hi Luvapug
could you tell me where i would be able to purchase Dopram V from, i have contacted my vet who says that i cannot purchase this from anywhere, i usually use Rescue Remedy, but think Dopram V sounds better, i have 2 litters due in a few weeks ( not advertising), any information would be great

thanks in advance
