We went to collect our bull terrier last week and so far everything is going well. He is 8 weeks old today, but the only problem we have with him is he has started mounting my leg!!

Should he be doing this at such an early age??

Any info would greatly be appreciated.

At this age this behaviour is nothing to do with sex but excitement.  Al you need do is show him that he won;t get attention this way by ignoring him, walking away.  If yoiu make a big deal of it he will realise it is a way to get yur attention even if it is negative.
