i'm currently feeding my puppies on james wellbeloved duck and rice, but they seem to get really bad runny poo that is dark and very smelly. I stoped feeding them this the other day and started feeding boiled chicken and rice and boiled white fish and rice and it cleared up so I put them back on there normal food and it went back to the way it was.  My question is do you think i'm feeding them to much or do you think their tummies dont like james wellbeloved.

Could be either or both, try cutting down and see if that works; if it does not try another formula eg turkey or lamb or try another excellent food such as Burns.

James Wellbeloved didn't suit my oldest Malamute when he was a puppy. I changed over to Wafcol which made his poo solid within a couple of days.

All my Munsters love James Wellbeloved but it goes straight through.  I have tried Burns too and it went through Curtis.   I have found the following to be ok (Firm jobbies!!! ;) )with him - Arden Grange Salmon & Rice, Nutro & Pets at Home complete.

Hi,

My pup has tried all three of those dry foods mentioned, people generally seem to think that Burns is the best in terms of quality,  The one that my pup loved above all the rest was Pro Plan chicken flavour.  At the moment he is on 50% Burns and 50% Pro Plan.    James Well beloved didnt upset his tummy at all, in fact he pooed a lot less on it.   i guess my pup just has a cast iron tummy :o)
