In defence of Michelle I know the lady in question regarding Labradoodles and Goldendoodles and I too will defend her so long as I have air in my lungs. Her Labrador bitch is from the one of the most highly respected Labrador breeders in the country and I hasten to add that her breeder is fully aware that the bitch is crossed to a poodle. She is hip scored low, as are all of her ancestors and eye tested yearly, many Labrador people would be proud to own her. I would like to see her mated to a Labrador myself but the lady in question has a passion for Doodles and not money. She would certainly get a much higher price for the offspring and any top breeder would welcome the bitch to their stud dog. Her Standard Poodle is tested for Sebatious Adenitis (sp) has a correct scissor bite and is a fabulous example of his breed, also with an enviable pedigree.
She has a Golden Retriever bitch also hip scored low, eye tested annually and a top pedigree, her breeder is also knowledgable of the fact that she is mated to a Poodle.
The most influential first cross dog in the Labradoodle gene pool is Whu-Li and he is from the best show Labs in the world, likewise  his son BB-King. There are more respected breeders in agreeance with this cross than is realised but because of the attitude of many they will not be counted. Michelle is not saying that all breeders of such crosses are reputable and niether am I but the lady in question is. The way that she rears her puppies and cares for her dogs would put many breeders to shame.
Michelle, I admire your grit, you do not lie, you say what you think with conviction and a pleasent manner.
All too often people on this site are viscious to each other, a little thought and compassion would go along way and save some the need to grovel afterwards. Words are like bullets you can't put them back but you can do a lot of damage.
