I was told by my brother-in-law that you can get posts to encourage your dog to poo in one place in the garden. At the moment there is poo everywhere and as we have 3 young kids that is not good. We have tried to get her to poo when we are out and then we can just pick it up, but she likes to wait til she gets home. Nothing like doing it in your own home I guess!
Does anyone know if these poles really work?

Hi sorry I have no idea whether the posts work but I have managed to train my bulldog puppy to go in a certain area of the garden using the lead, lots of praise and treats. He even chooses areas with rough ground or undergrowth in other peoples gardens now, he wont poo in the lawned bit unless that is all that is there.

The only solition now would be to fence part of th garden as a no dog area so that the kids can play where there is no poo.  I did this with my first dog, and have kept it that way as it is easier to pick up in a smaller area.

I would expect it would be quite hard to retrain your dog to go in a specific spot as you hadn't done this initially.

the posts are for dogs (male) to pee up aganst so hopefully lessending the marking of walls and gateposts etc, not for pooing or bitches :D

So does it have a sign on it saying poo here ? :D

Sorry couldn't resist ! :)

You just have to make sure poo patrol is done on a regular basis. We do it twice a day :)
