I wormed my 3 week old puppies as per instructions for 5 days from 11/15th of april with Telmin suspension. My pups are cockers wirh fairy long docked tails , alas , they are dragging their behinds along the floor as if they itch .It tends to happen just after poohing though .Should I re medicate them .
Regards Sally.

No this is unlikely to mbe because of worms, more likely from rather irritant motions (possibly as a result of the medication).  this behaviour is often caused by full anal glands, but unlikely in such young pups.

can the anal glands only be emptied by a proffesional ?

No anyone can learn to do it easily with an adult but I would not attempt it on such young puppies and as Brainless says that would be highly unlikely to be the cause.

When my 5yr old was only about 11 weeks he had to have his anal glands emptied. He has  never suffered with them since. but i would have your vet do it.
