did any one had pups out of a slip mating before ? if yes...how long was the mating and did the male stay in the bitch after he finished for any time at all ? and why do some males never manage to tie with a bitch ?

This seems to happen quite a lot where the male is smaller than the bitch, he simply doesn't swell large enough to remain in place.  Inother cases the males doesn't get in far enough and ties outsdie the bitch.  As long as the dog has ejaculted and been inside the bitch for about a minute then a pregnancy can result.  A tie is always better as you then know that ejaculation has occured.

we've had a litter of 4 from one mating which was a slip,everything happened as usual ,he just tied after coming away from the bitch

thanx for ure reply`s.......my bitch had 4 slip matings and would be 28 days today from her first slip mating.......will book her in for a scan on friday....so fingers crossed !!!
the male also done his thing, but when he was done he popped out ( it even made a popping sound...) before they could tie......we even tried to help him to tie by pushing his bum closer to the bitch, but this still didn`t work......so we just got nto hope that this was enough......

Hi .my bitch had a slip mating, the dog got straight off as soon as he had "finished" and my girl had a healthy litter of 8 pups. Good luck.;-)

well.....took her for her scan yesterday and NO......no pups this time ! but never mind......we will just have to try again ....and maybe we will have more luck next time !

sorry to hear that, my girl is now day 42 and a scan showed at least 5 pups from a slip mating,
