We have a 10 month old labrador bitch and would like to have another labrador bitch puppy to join her fairly soon. Does anyone know if there is an optimum age at which dogs best accept a new arrival into their lives or does it just depend on the dogs' personalities? Mabel {our current lab} is fairly laid back and we do not want to risk upsetting her!!!

My personal opinion would be to wait a while. 10 months is not a long time for your puppy to be with you and she still is a puppy. I would wait until there was a better age gap between them.
This is just my opinion though.
