It really would be worth asking your breeder to show you how to handstrip if your pup has been bred with a correct course coat. In the long run it's better for the dog and the owner if you can because a course coat stays cleaner and is chalked and not bathed.
A similar 'natural' trim can be achieved with thinning scissors if the coat won't strip, but it's much easier to be shown, either in person or on video, than to try and learn from the written word. I would only suggest clipping if these other options weren't possible.
