Topic Dog Boards / Health / Spots or bites?
- By Tigerlily [gb] Date 16.04.05 19:40 UTC
My pup has come up in  red lumps all over his tummy, chest and inbetween his toes and pads. They are like a gnat bite, red, raised and hard ish. He is not ill he is eating normally and playing normally and the only ones that seem to bother him are the ones between his toes. It is definately not fleas, unless they are biting him and then jumping off. Any ideas on what it could be? and any advice on what to put on them to ease it for him?

Give him a little piriton liquid (from a chemist)
dont mention its for a dog as they arent allowed to sell it
for anything other than humans.
its ideal for bites and stings.

Thank you Carolyn. How much, a child's dose of 2.5ml?

Being a pup just give the childs dose.
If he is itching you can take a handful of oats and put in a sock or pair of tights
place over the tap and allow the warm water to run through them so you have a milky water,
then bathe the dog in this water,it relieves itching and cools the skin.

Happy B'day Carolyn - I've already said this but once more won't hurt!

TL - check that Dozer doesn't have any on his chin or face, if he has would you pm me on the other forum and I'll talk let you know what I think.  How many does he have between his toes, is he nibling at them at all.
