My papillion is 15 years old. At the end of February she was in season and wanted outside constantly even during the night.  We though this would pass when she finishes being in season but it is still going on.  The vet says she should be finished by now but she still licks herself and wants to go to toilet all the time, vet says there is a trace of blood in urine so she may need to get a blood.

Anybody ideas!!!  family is all sleep deprived beacause of this!!!

Could she have a urine infection??  this would also cause her to lick a lot and want to go out all the time too ;)

We have been to the vet several times in the past 2 months, each time we took a urine sample but the vet couldnt find anything but last week the said there was a slight trace of blood.  We have tried all different kinds of medication i.e senilty pills and antibiotics but nothing seems to work.  She can sleep for a few hours at a time during the day but during the night she seems want out every hour.  I just dont really want to get tests done on her because of her age plus other wise she completley healthy.
