I agree ours is always hungry, but I dont know about the tomato isnt it supposed to be not a good idea too often?.
We still had ours on 4 feeds a day when she was 4 months old, inc milky eggs and chicken and fish and a little bit of mixer. We didnt feed her complete until she was about 8 months and she still has scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Hi

I have a 7 month old staffie and he was the same. I recently phoned the vet who was most helpful and advised me on how to wean him onto big boys food!

I had him on 4 feeds a day. This was what his routine was:
Breakfast was 1/4 pint of milk with porridge/weetabix or rusks.
Lunch was 3 oz of tinned meat and a little mixer
Tea was the same as lunch or a little scrambled egg and cheese
Supper was 1/4 pint of milk and cereal.

You dont have to feed them on anything other than dog meat or dried food but mine seemed to like it. It is also a good idea to get one milky meal in while they are young. They usually go off of this at about 5-6 months. There is no hard and fast rule about how much to feed. If she is hungry then feed a little more as they need all the energy they can get at this age. Watch her weight, if she gets a podgy then just reduce the feed a little. I found it was better to put more down and adjust accordingly than to not feed enough at such a young age. Finally, keep an eye on her stools. If you are over feeding they will be loose (remember that puppy poo is always a bit soft and you can make allowances for this) and if you are under feeding they will be very hard.

As long as she has lots of energy with bright eyes and a shiny coat then I am sure you are doing just fine.
Good Luck!!
