hi just wondering what others thought, my pug bitch has 3 week old pups which are doing well and growing beautifully and mum is in great condition too. Im feeding mum on breast of chicken 4 times a day, leaving her plenty of water and milk and also leaving down James wellbeloved for her, do you  think this diet is ok for her to stay healthy and produce plenty of milk for her pups. Also im going to start weaning the pups next week any suggestions what would be the best diet to wean them on,

Hi, I've just started weaning pups with cow and gate baby rice with lactol, they are loving it, next week will make it a bit thicker and then introduce mashed up tripe in water for them. I used to use Pedigree puppy poridge but can no longer get this, so thought I would try baby rice, if its good for babies it should be o.k. for pups, but I would welcome suggestions on weaning as its a while since ive had pups and you do forget, what you gave the last litter

You would probably be better giving your bitch raw chicken wings than breast of chicken as these, amongst many other things, contain calcium.  Just feeding muscle meat is not the best of ideas although the JW should balance it out a little
